There was a lot of development in the VOIP Industry last year in terms of technology, implementation and production of VOIP related hardware and software products with advanced technology and lowest prices.The new trend comming up is the VOIP over the WiFi Technology used in the new mobile devices.The technology in this is same as the old one wherein all the LAN products can be run on WiFi with the same protocals like TCP/IP or SIP, but the main invention in this is the smartphones that can switch between GSM and VoWLAN and dial the number via the GSM provider.
India is having a very low usage of these devices though they are having a lot of sales all over the world,reason of which is the Indian Laws for VOIP deployment are not clear of this which include calling to a mobile number from a VOIP network. But this law may be soon amended because of the increase of outsourcing market in India which require low cost solutions.
